Biddle Cursi is far from a curse as the name suggests, but quite the contrary. The house seems as though it was blessed and its destiny was to become an architectural paradise! And who none other than Peerutin Architects to be invited to bless this magical design space?!
Biddle Cursi looks to the naked eye like it’s only 2 storeys high. What a first time visitor to the property wouldn’t know is that below lies a lower level that boasts a sauna, gym, cellar and bedroom. We think Peerutin did a stellar job in this regard, seeing that wine should be kept at a cool temperature so as to best preserve it. One could only imagine the benefits of stepping out of a hot sauna into a cool space, too.
Level 2 of this Peerutin design is where all the magic happens. Created for fun and games (read entertaining), this storey is where you take your guests for some wining and dining, lounging and swimming or for a late night chat in the kitchen over snacks. The living area of the home is all located here.
Now after we’ve gone and described all this magnificence, would you believe that this space is only a holiday home? The two friends who enlisted Peerutin’s services required a house along 50/50 lines – a bit for you and a bit for me (even friends can get under each other’s skin, right? Space is essential.) One friend get the East wing, while the other the West – each with a main bedroom, an en suite bathroom and views of the sea. This is all on level 1. But when they miss each other, they are only a passage away!
