Eco Oak Flooring
Thinking about renovating the floors in your home? You want a solid floor covering that will last, but it has to look and feel good. And it wouldn’t hurt if it were easy on the environment, as well. If these are the things you want in a floor covering, then chances are you’d be happy with Eco Oak Flooring’s product range.
Eco Oak Flooring products offer all of the above and so much more.
With their floor covering range, the options are abundant. For a natural look, choose unfinished or distressed floorboards, and for a tailored look, choose the pre-finished, the French Oak Hand-Scraped, or lacquered/finished ranges.
Those of you that would opt for the unfinished oak floorboards may be happy to know that those from Eco Oak Flooring are made from select Prime Grade European oak. This means that the wood is carefully chosen so that there is a low knot count per carton and it has no black filled knots, which can bring down the aesthetic quality of the floorboards. The distressed floorboard look is achieved by hand or by tumbling the plank in tanks, giving a more natural and random appearance.
If you would rather opt for a tailored look that will meet your unique style, Eco Oak Flooring’s unfinished wood is also good. But extra work and time will be involved than with their pre-finished and finished ranges. With that said, unfinished floors provide a great way to customise different colour stains using oils. This is another way to create a personalised floor.
Eco Oak Flooring’s pre-finished range is the unpack-and-install option that will still give you a custom look. All of the oak floorboards are classic brushed whereby the surface of the planks is roller brushed to remove some of the softer growth rings from the grain. This process, depending on the level of brushing, gives the floorboard a textured surface that brings out the natural grain structure. French Oak Hand-Scraped floorboards are flat and smooth. The pre-finished and French Oak Hand-Scraped ranges offer carbon, white and grey colour finishes.
Finished Eco Oak Flooring planks are lacquered in a clear or coloured varnish. It dries through solvent evaporation to produce a hard, durable, protective finish or film. The effect can be any sheen level from matt to gloss.
