It was pop princess Keisha who first hinted that Mick Jagger is hot with these lyrics: “Now, the dudes are lining up cause they hear we got swagger, but we kick ‘em to the curb unless they look like Mick Jagger.” Now it seems people are starting to catch on to this man’s appeal just about everywhere, including the carpeting world. This Mick Jagger carpet stands testament to Brabetz’s ability to squeeze every little detail in. And precision like this doesn’t come around everyday. We think Mick Jagger might even do a double take if he were to ever set his eyes on it. And then he’d shout, “I’ll take it!” Even if it so happens to be mounted on the wall of a rock-themed hotel reception area. It’s so pretty that Mick would convince the manager it should be his!

Speaking of pretty, we never thought of Mick Jagger as that until today! That’s how well Brabetz made him look in this carpet. In fact, we think there may be a plastic surgeon lurking in the midst of their design team. Could it be?! We think the realistic effect was created with carpet pile of the same length, meaning there was no special technique used – no carving, nada (thought that would be very beautiful). It seems the pile fibres where just dyed the right colour for each part of the artwork – the fall of his black curls, the structure of his jawline, the curve of his shoulder, and so on.
