The best theme for a little girl’s bedroom is undisputedly the princess theme! Because every little girl is her parent s princess, it makes complete sense that the most popular theme when it comes to decoration would be the princess theme. But of course no little girl wants the same as all the other little girls, she wants her own special princess sanctuary, so this means coming up with new and different ways to do “princess”. But fear not! Because, whether you go all out, traditional, funky or modern, there is a way to do perfect princess for your little girl’s bedroom décor.

In this first image, the decorator has chosen to bring the princess theme in through the gorgeous wall mural. Painted very realistically, the mural makes it appear that the room itself is in a castle complete with stone walls! The mural artist has even painted windows with scenery from the princess’s kingdom shown through them. A lovely touch is the exquisitely painted drapes over the bed.

This room shows a more contemporary version of the princess theme. The focus falls to the gorgeous carved wooden furniture which has been designed with the princess label and crown on the bed. I especially like the labelled drawers!

Here we see gorgeously pink princess décor for a very little girl. Literally the entire room is done out in pink with furniture that matches perfectly. The little gold crown accents on the four poster bed and furniture as well as the framed crown and castle pictures on the wall are a wonderful addition.

This is another funky take on the princess theme. This decorator has used a vividly funky colour scheme and a very eclectic mix and match of furniture. Notice the two different lampshades and the multitude of different cushions on the bed? The crazy bright pink and purple princess crown headboard is the main feature though!
