Green is a very popular colour this season. With the décor world turning its attention to all things eco-design we are seeing a collective return to nature as far as colour is concerned. And of course what could be more natural than green?
Over summer we saw lime and apple green take centre stage for their fresh and invigorating feel. But now that we approach winter, what do we do and what has changed?
Here are a couple great ideas on how to use green this winter season in your homes!
If you already have, or just love lime green in your home, no need to fear! We are still seeing a lot of it this winter season. Lime green really livens up a room, giving it a fresh spring feel for lifting your spirits during the cold winter months. In this image we see how the tiniest dash of fresh lime green has been coupled with deep and stormy shades of green and blue seas. This fabulous contrast is at once perfectly wintery and also cheerful at the same time.
Combining Charcoal grey and lime green achieves a similar effect, and is a very popular choice for this winter seasons décor. The use of blacks and greys gives this room a sophisticated feel, while the green of the accessories adds just a little funkiness.
If you are looking for something a little different from summers lime, how about a softer avocado or moss green for your home? In this image the decorator has used a very subtle antique green pyjama striped wall paper with accessories in matching shades of forest and moss to create a lovely vintage eclectic living room.
Here the decorator has been far more bold and bright with the use of avocado green. From the walls to the drapes, this colour really makes the room feel inviting and serene. It is especially attractive with the combined use of white, silver and soft pink.

Avocado green goes well with the wooden floors… its an inviting but rich colour and contrasts well with the wood brown
