So we were skimming over the trend pages recently and we stumbled across these three Hi-tech kitchen appliances that are the epitome of convenience and super modern design! All we can say is we really hope these hit South Africa soon if they aren’t here already.

Siemens new multimedia ventilation hood brings new meaning to the phrase “tv dinner”! This Cooktop hood, designed for use over electric or induction cooktops (sorry, no gas allowed) features a 17 inch LCD screen on which to watch your favorite program while you cook! It’s equipped to allow you to watch television, dvd’s or just listen to you favorite music. It also features a 600 cm fan and halogen surface lights just in case you actually want to use it to cook!

Sticking with kitchen convenience, LG Electronics has just released their first HDTV refrigerator. Yes you heard right, a combination High Definition Television and refrigerator! Talk about High-tech kitchen appliances! The fridge, which is a side by side model features a 15 inch screen which uses LG’s fifth generation digital television tuner to provide digital broadcast. It also has a remote control, cable and dvd connections an fm radio and a 4 inch weather center LCD display… Oh, and it keeps food cold, makes ice and filters water! All they need to do is add a wireless modem and we would never leave the kitchen!

And lastly, but definitely not least, especially for those of you who, like us, really, really hate ironing, this hi-tech kitchen appliance is just for you! Fagor have released a new appliance called the “Driiron”. This sexy little Gadget, vaguely resembling a fridge, sucks all the humidity out of your laundry using an advanced condensation system, leaving your clothes toasty and even better, wrinkle free! It has a hanging space for your larger clothing items and a little drawer for the smaller items of clothing that don’t need to be ironed.
