We love purple! And over the last few seasons, purple has made it’s way to the top of the décor favourite colours list. First it was rich, warm, plum purples, then they added lavender to the palette, now pretty much any purple is good purple.
If you are looking for some hot purple décor ideas, look no further, here are some of our favourites!
If you are in the process of redecorating your kitchen or thinking about it, and you like purple, here is a seriously hot purple décor idea. Pale purple glass tiles! In this image, the decorator has used a very subtly lavender purple off white paint for the walls, and an ever so slightly deeper shade of lavender purple for the tiles. The kitchen looks, clean, inviting and soft with this colour choice in combination with the pine coloured wood and white fittings.
In this bedroom we see the use of a different shade of purple: vintage wine. This lovely warm and dark colour gives this bedroom a wonderful sense of intimacy and cosiness, while the use of all white fittings, wood, flowers and crystal add to the rooms’ elegance.
This dining room has been painted in a gorgeous shade of aubergine! Again we see it paired with white, white skirting, white ceiling, white dining room suite, even a white and crystal chandelier all make this purple dining room super hot!
If you want a warmer purple, look at this. Here we have a far more contemporary look with a modern white couch and funky black and white carpet. The modern standing lamp and steel and black table tie in beautifully with the black and white Audrey Hepburn Print on the back wall. The purple comes in, of course, with that wonderfully rich wall colour, which has then been accented with the scatter cushions. The splash of chartreuse in the third scatter makes for a wonderful contrast with the purple!

I think the contrast between the wood and that rich wine shade of purple in the bedroom is great… something I’ll remember for when I do some interior decoration.
