Out with the old and in with the new? Who says?! With Block & Chisel’s Medieval-styled furniture and accessories, it seems more like in with the old and in with the new.
Now you can get the best of both worlds as old an new converge in a few items from the latest Block & Chisel’s New Arrivals. This side table, wall clock and coat rack are each tinged with a vintage from days when men committed chivalrous acts, women wore elaborate dress and beer was generously poured.
The Medieval times, being before industrialisation, was characterised by very basic technology generally hand-crafted from wood. Block & Chisel’s wall clock continues this Medieval-esque trend featuring a round face made from wood. Character is texturally created through the use of wood with different grains. Roman Numeral numbers adorn the edge.
Block & Chisel’s Medieval-inspired hanging coat rack is rather plain, but the beauty results from its minimalist nature. Of course, that fact that it serves a clear purpose makes it a winner. Also meant to be fixed to a wall and wood-crafted, this item features six brass hooks along a plank of wood. The plank is slotted into to wood supports on wither end, which rise giving support to another wooden plank. This second plank is perched atop acting as a shelf.
Last of the Medieval-inspired New Arrivals is Block & Chisel’s Palma side table. Also made from wood, we like this item because it features a little slat of a drawer that almost conceals itself it’s so thin. Perfect for those olden days when raids were common.
