From the outside, it looks like a modest, beachside holiday home. But cross the threshold and you’ll be transported into a luxurious holiday haven. This beachside bungalow, designed by Peerutin Architects, is perfect for the private family who’d like to keep their wealth under wraps, whilst enjoying it none-the-less.
A Beachside Bungalow is Upgraded
Of course, location, location, location says that this beachside bungalow was never meant to be a modest abode. Set on the hills of the prestigious Cape Town suburb Clifton, the original house had a reputation to maintain. This bungalow was built with majestic intentions with the original structure boasting 3 storeys…if you include the basement! Peerutin Architects merely upgraded it on the inside!
Peerutin Architects’ Interior Design of a Clifton Bungalow
When we say interior design, we don’t mean in the traditional choosing-décor sense of the word…we mean the whole interior shebang! From renovation to deciding on décor, Peerutin Architects executed this bungalow’s upgrade magically. Their clients requested that 7 bedrooms be included in this design, but it seems the team went a step further adding way more luxury and style not even their clients, we imagine, could have foreseen!
Upon looking at various aspects for the finished project, a visual theme begins to unfold. In choosing the interior design, Peerutin Architects let’s colour, patterns and texture lead the way. Black, white and beige are recurring shades, while stripes, peppered materials and soft weaves like velvet are contrasted with textured linen-like drapes. The walls are a mix of black, high gloss lacquer, stone and mirrors.
