One of the most surprising colour combinations to come out of this season’s winter palette is purple and green. Purple and green are each individually on this seasons hot list of winter colours, so as a couple they are outstanding! And if you are into this season’s eco-design movement, green and purple provide a slightly brighter twist on the nature inspired colour themes of green and brown or green and charcoal.
While looking through images for other articles I stumbled across some of the most fabulous examples of different ways in which to use this very vibrant colour combination:
If you are the kind of person who prefers a softer and more conservative style of décor then this image demonstrates a lovely way of incorporating these two lovely colours without being to bold. The decorator has chosen a very soft purple for the walls and furniture, with only the most subtle of accents in lime green.
Again in this image we see the decorator has used predominantly a soft and cool pale purple. The green come into the wonderful wallpaper that has been used above the dado rail in this living room. With its fabulous floral design the pattern almost looks three dimensional.
In contrast, this decorator has gone all out funky with an incredible retro inspired purple and green wall paper and lime green and vivid purple furniture accents. The wall paper is especially hot as it represents one of this season’s hottest fabric trends: the circular patterned floral abstract. Very 70’s meets hippy funk!
But I Have saved my absolute favourite for last! This decorator has gone for a very simple look and has managed to achieve a gorgeously eclectic outcome. The most striking aspect of this room is that incredibly vibrant purple wall! The purple really makes the chartreuse green couch and matching, patterned lampshade pop! A wonderful touch and one that makes this room just that little bit more modern is the gorgeous mirror silver lamp and table.

Yeah, surprising they are Jodi, although I agree that the colour contrasts in your favourite are great.
