Stagnate water, mold, mildew and insects, crumbling walls corroded by damp, smelly basements, it’s hard to breathe…these are a few of our “unfavourite” things. So why deal with them? These are some of the benefits of Cemcrete’s Permastop. Want to know what the others are? Read on…
Cemecrete’s Permastop is a cement-based waterproofing product that has a range of applications. It has a long, proven track record having been used to seal water tanks, swimming pools, basements, manholes and building foundations. And, if used correctly, any project where Permastop is used can have a long life.
Cement-based waterproofing products are suitable for both negative and positive water pressures. In fact, they are probably the only waterproofing barriers with this dual capability. So this makes Cemcrete’s Permastop very versatile.
Using Cemcrete’s Permastop is easy. Simply follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the pack for ease of application. And, unlike other types of waterproofing barriers, Cemcrete’s Permastop doesn’t need any complicated or expensive equipment as it is applied using a block brush, large distemper brush or a soft broom.
Cemcrete’s Permastop is a non-toxic waterproofing solution, as it contains no solvents. This means it can be used to seal containers for potable water like fishponds; hence it’s application in waterproofing of water tanks and reservoirs. It’s also environment friendly.

Please would you be so kind as to giving me details on the permastop product. We have installed a filtration system on a koi pond that was not built by ourselves. Once we switched the fountain and filtration system on water started seeping through the walls were the pump and filter are. Will permastop seal the fountain area? What colour is this product when dry?
